Erskine United Free Church

We had an amazing time with members of Erskine United Free Church in Carnoustie this afternoon. They proved to be a very receptive, enthusiastic audience. Two of Dee Ukes members, Ann P and Bob, took to the floor to demonstrate the Slosh and were pleased that three audience members joined them, much to everyone’s delight. Brian brought along a bag full of tambourines, so in the second half we had a percussion band to accompany us! Great fun!

Lochside Connections, Forfar

We had our first ever visit to Lochside Connections in Forfar. What a fantastic group of people! We were greeted with the offer of apple strudel, which is a first for us. There were some brilliant singers there who soon joined in with the fun. As well as the service users and staff we had the company of Pickles and Sparkle, 2 lovely sausage dogs. They were really quiet throughout until anyone started dancing. The dogs then took to the floor and one even tried to join in with the singing”. So funny! Many thanks to Danielle for inviting us along and also for the great hospitality. One service user said we are the best band he has ever heard. Wow! 🙂

Friends of Broughty Ferry Library

We were delighted to be invited to be part of the 10th Anniversary celebrations for Friends of Broughty Ferry Library. The aim of the volunteers is to support the work of the library in as many ways as possible. Over the years over 300 people have joined the Friends. One of the current major projects is a plan to revitalise part of the Library grounds. If you would like to find out more about the Friends, you can pick up a membership leaflet at the Library or get in touch at friendsofbroughtylibrary@gmail.com.
