Happy Burns Day

We had a lovely afternoon entertaining the residents of Janet Brougham House, most of whom were kitted out with tartan scarves or tartan tammies. The room was adorned with Scotland flags and the drinks bar was open. Lots of snacks were handed out to keep the party atmosphere going. Well done to all the singers and dancers, in particular May who attempted to learn the Slosh under the expert guidance of our Pat. We were also treated to lovely sandwiches and home-made shortbread after the entertainment. Delicious! On the way out we could hear the piper practising for piping in the haggis for their special tea of haggis, neeps and a wee dram.

Dundee Dementia Resource Centre

We were delighted to return to Dundee Dementia Resource Centre for the first time since Covid reared its ugly head. The service users were Margaret, Richard, Stan and Perce. Despite the small numbers the atmosphere in the room was great with our audience singing along to all of our songs. We even persuaded Stan to join in, as he was a bit reluctant initially. However, he became quite animated at some points. Margaret, Richard and Perce all managed to perform on the dance floor a few times. Many thanks to Carol for inviting us along and to the other staff members who certainly added so much to the afternoon. We look forward to a return visit in February.

First Gig of 2023

We were delighted to entertain at Forthill Sheltered Housing for our first gig of 2023. It was the first time we had been there and what a brilliant way to start the new year! It proved to be a very enthusiastic audience with participation from the first song to the last. They had plenty of energy following their lunch for all of the action songs. We even had David and Jane hitting the dance floor for ‘Save the Last Dance For Me’. Many thanks to Jackie for looking after everyone so well. We all had a great time.
